He lies close to my other passions: life and literature. So he becomes a character in my own epic. I love him for his complexities. For his want of god as a man. He is a Nietzchian ideal, a Shakespearean villian, the tragically heroic, Child, Monster, a bloody display of all our shortcomings and triumphs.
