Judge me
05.12.03 - 8:47 p.m.

I've hated judgmental people. I've hated them for a long time now. I've hated people who let their own measly opinions color their perceptions of others, to write others off based on their subjective whims. Being judgmental is a sign of close-mindedness, afterall.

But now I don't think it's possible to be a decent, well-developed person without being judgmental. How can one be confident in their own beliefs if they are wholly accepting of anybody and everybody? In order for one to be inspired and driven, one has to be just a tiny bit self-aggrandizing. Those who I meet that do measure up to my ideal of openness are spineless goons who's own ideas are ambiguous, contradictory, weak.

I still believe it's noble to attempt to be non-judgmental. Noble, and only that.
